Jack Jack Attack!

Jack is getting so big, just the other day I discovered that I can put him on my hip and carry him around! It's bitter-sweet feeling to have your youngest get so big so fast!
Smiley Jack!

You gotta love this baby and his cheeks!

Pajama Party Thanksgiving!

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving!
The best part (Besides having leftovers for a week straight)
was that no one got dressed all day! It might have to be a new
tradition! It was great to have Jonny home for 4 days straight!-
He actually relaxed and didn't do a whole lot- something I
haven't seen in a long time! The kids had a blast! After dinner
we played computer games and watched movies that
we rented! It was a great
day! The kids got ahold of my

camera and were snapping pictures like crazy! The took
this one of Dad trimming the Turkey!

Christmas is on My Brain!

What is on your brain? I can't believe that it is almost December. I still have so much to do. Decorating, wrapping, Christmas cards, wrapping, shopping, wrapping, cooking, wrapping (I used to like wrapping- but now, not so much.) We just found out that our ward is going to split (somehow). The changes will be announced on Sunday. Meanwhile, I am planning a Christmas Enrichment activity with a gift exchange, cookie exchange and a Christmas message. I'm not gonna cancel it, but the ward change just adds to the stress, not to mention that I don't want anyone to get cut- out of the ward! I'm not complaining though, because at the end of the day, when the kids are finally asleep, I turn off all of the lights and can relax for a few minutes with the lovely Christmas decorations lit up by the soft Christmas lights. It seems to make it all worthwhile! It is so funny to see just how excited Bridger is for Christmas. It is the first year that he understands Christmas. He just goes around asking if all of the decorations that are up are a part of Christmas. He's Hilarious.
If anyone has any cute, inexpensive gift ideas- please let me know! (post your ideas on this site so everyone can read them!) My mind is racing and Christmas is just a minute away (or so it seems!)

The Fantastic Four

Having 4 kids is harder than I thought. But I love their ages. They each wear me out in a different way. My older kids wear me out mentally while my younger kids wear me out physically. At the end of each day, I am toast! But I wouldn't trade it for anything! Nolan is so smart and wants to learn details about tornadoes, snakes and (still) vacuums. Carli tries to keep up with him, but hasn't learned how to do some of the things that he can do (like read) and gets frustrated really easy. But she has determination! If you want a job done- you ask Carli! Bridger is as spunky as they get. He is so loving and tells me out of the blue everyday that he loves me. However, he is trying my patience lately, and started throwing whomping bad fits. I have to remind myself that he's only 3! Jack is soooo funny! At only 3 months, he has to be in the center of attention. If he is in another room by himself, he starts crying until I plop him down by me and the kids. It took him awhile to smile- but now he will smile at anything. All the kids eat him up, and have all formed a relationship with him in different ways! My kids sure drive me crazy, but THEY ARE GOOD KIDS!!!

Thanksgiving

I love the holidays with new babies! They are so cozy to snuggle up with when it is cold outside! I can't believe that it is already Thanksgiving. Here is a recipe that I made for a church Thanksgiving party that was a big hit! It is sooo sweet that it is almost a dessert!

SWEET POTATOES AND BERRIES CASSEROLE

2 lbs. sweet potatoes (can use canned)
1 (16 oz.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
2/3 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter
1 c. mini marshmallows
Cook potatoes in boiling water for 20 minutes or until tender. Let cool to touch; peel and mash. (Start here if using canned sweet potatoes.) Stir in cranberry sauce and cinnamon. Spoon into lightly greased casserole, 2-quart works best.
Combine flour, sugar, oats; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spoon over potato mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with marshmallows and bake until golden. Serves 8.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

My little artist, Nolan drew a Thanksgiving picture for me, and I decided to put it on our blog. What a SWEET boy!

So Much To Talk About!

Since we have just started this blog, I will catch everyone up on our happenings from these last couple of months. We had our 4th addition to our family and we now total 6. Jack David Jacobs was born on Aug. 15th! He just missed his oldest brother's birthday by 1 day! He is a fantastic baby and at 3 months he already sleeps mostly through the night! The kids are so excited to have him! They can be in the worst mood, and I will ask them to help me out with Jack, and they change their attitude and help every time! Nolan got baptized (by his dad) into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the first weekend of Sept. We were so happy for him. I was nervous this past year as to if he was really gonna do it (He has a strange water phobia- it comes and goes selectlvely)- but he did it. That same weekend, Jon blessed Jack!
You gotta love these 70's jumpsuits!

So innocent and so darling!!!
