Catching up on us -2

In late August, Nolan got Braces!
For Thanksgiving - it was just us in our tiny apartment. We had a yummy meal tho. I didn't cook as much as I did and.... Yup- those are the fine china you see. (paper plates)

Jack talked us into having a whole Turkey leg for himself. I think he ate most of it.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too!!!

Catching Up on Us!- Halloween 2012

For Halloween - Jack was Mr. Freeze. He designed his helmet himself by saving a box and telling us exactly what he wanted done with it. including frosty glitter sparkles. (that you can see very well from the pics)

Carli was a Hunter. It was a last minute costume, but she was happy with it.

Nolan was a Panda. (He LURVES Pandas) He sewed on the white part to the black sweats himself. He even twisted some yellow wrapping paper that I had to make bamboo for the costume.
Bridger is happy with anything, so this year I bought a alligator water works costume. (It is from a Disney Game.)  I was so sad when I had to buy it. I don't like buying costumes when I can make them and the kids put in their order each year. But alas I was so busy with the house that something had to give. (And he didn't mind.)

La Casa

Here are some House pics. I went over there and shot a bunch today.

The rock on the front
To outside downstairs basement (the stairs are completed- but I was playing with the light on my camera and didn't get a good shot of the stairs. oopsy.

Back Patio

Family Room. There will be rock on the fireplace. Jon and I were going to originally paint that tongue and groove on the ceiling, but decided to stain it instead. I am liking the way it turned out.
Living room (right when you walk in the front door.) I am excited for the gorgeous-ness of that fireplace that will begin when it gets trimmed out.

Front door from inside the house (all walls on the main level will have framed boxes on the lower half of the walls)

The bedroom I share with my man!

Laundry Room (I am so excited about the vct flooring)
Staircase to upstairs (it will have a rail so the kiddos don't jump off)
The mudroom and Pantry   (above)
Dining room (Below pic)

Side View
This house stuff is exciting stuff. It has been a neat process so far and we have had the best experience with our team of builders! Thanks Gale-Rew!!!
We still don't have a move-in date but are thinking it will be the middle of January.

Our Fine House

This has been a long time coming. I have been meaning to make this post with our house plans. I don't have a current pic of the house- they haven't painted the outside yet, but the rock on the outside is up and the inside is painted. They are putting down the wood flooring today. We are beyond excited. The builders and everyone who enters is calling it a "big" house. I get mad- (not real mad-just pretend funny mad, lol) and say it is not a big house. "Big" to me sounds extravagant, which we are not. No- instead, we are using the word, "spacious." I think that sounds better. lol Here are our "spacious" house plans.

Normal Party!

When I asked Carli what she wanted to do for her birthday this year...she said she wanted to have a "Normal Party". Still not sure what that meant, but I took it as a party without a theme. We just had her friends over. THey played card games, watched a movie, jumped a lot on the tramploine and had pizza, cake and Carli's famous Birthday Ice cream bar that she does every year. I think she had a lot of fun. Jack was confused by all the girls in our house as it is rare that he is out numbered like that.
Carli (and Jack) opening (presents)

Ice Cream Bar Time
Nobody could guess what her cake was of. I heard sandals and a quilt. Um....
What about the Age that Carli is turning. You could see the wheels turning in the girls' heads'.
                                                   (Doh...ok....yeah.)
I got the idea for the cake HERE!
(Thanks to my new best friend... Pinterest!)
Happy Birthday to my FAVORITE Daughter!!!!
I hope you have a Fabulous 11th Year!!!

It's About Time!

Do you Hear that?

No?

It is the sound of flushing.

Yes flushing!

Followed by Mo Tab singing the Hallelujah Chorus.

For 12 years, we have been in diapers.

12 Years.

That is a lot of diapers.

But not anymore.

Jack has been potty trained for a couple of months now.

Happy

SO, SO HAPPY!

Goodbye Diapers!

We will NOT be missing you anytime soon!

Our Christmas 2011

These pics are in order of last to first-
Christmas Night, we had cheese fondue. It is fairly quick and easy and the kiddos love it. Any excuse to eat cheese.

Before Christmas, I went to buy a fondue packet and Yokes doesn't carry them in their exotic cheeses anymore, but the man behind the counter said I can make it myself. We have tried and failed too many times, so I didn't believe him. As I was walking away with the recipe in hand, I told him that he would be my best friend if it worked. I guess he is my best friend now cuz after we made it, I danced around for about 15 mins with a big smile on my face while telling Jon every minute and a half that we can now make it ourselves any time we want it.
Any excuse to eat cheese!
Here are some picks of our Christmas Morning:

The elves came back every night throughout dec. These are some things that they did.

Decorated the tree with the kiddos Undies.
Had marshmallows with the stuffed animals and told them about the nativity and Baby Jesus.
Hung around on the ceiling fan
Got into the Barbie clothes and read a Christmas book.

Made snow angels with the sugar (sugar angels)

Typed a letter to Santa to tell them about The fab 4.
Hid in the freezer cuz they missed the cold.
Hid in the silverware drawer with Smurf crackers (Hey- Smurfs are elves too)
Put diapers on my of the stuffed animals.

Carli had a Christmas Band concert at school. She decided to play the trumpet this year.
Hope you had a beautiful Holiday Season!
