What happens when the kids get ahold of the camera???

Kids just push the button (only somewhat aiming.) They sure catch sides of people that you don't always see.

And some that should never be seen!!! I am gonna be more careful with my camera!!!

Catching up!

On Sat- Carli had her last basketball game- (insert sad sigh here- awww!) But- she sure went out with a bang!!! She made 5 baskets- FIVE! Good Job Girl!

Jack is discovering that crayons are not only super yummy to the average toddler, but also used to color with. He colored by himself during his nursery lesson. Oh! and did I mention that he is now old enough for nursery. (Do happy dance now!)

Jon's dad became bishop of their ward in Utah this last Sunday. Seriously- I always thought it would happen. I wasn't even that shocked when Jon told me. I am so happy for him and know that he will be a kind and sincere bishop. (Isn't there some rule that when your father is bishop- you can't be one too???- Well there should be! I am not ready for that yet!!!)
I finished Z is for Zachariah, and I am now terrified of radiation. (Okay- maybe not that much)Good book- needs a sequel- but that would be crazy impossible considering the man that wrote it died b4 it was even finished!

Well- that is about all. It seems that we get so busy that we don't even know what all we have done until we sit down and really think about it. I am probably missing a ton!

Happy Birthday Huneee!!!

And it's a biggun!!! The big 3-8!

I searched for birthday poems that would suit you this day- but came upon some jokes that I thought you would enjoy more, my Big Hunter -man!

I Love you and look forward to our date tonight!

(Did I ever tell you that I DO think it is sexy that you can kill your own food?!?!)

OnBoard
Two hunters got a pilot to fly them into the far north for elk hunting. They were quite successful in their venture, and bagged six big bulls. The pilot came back as arranged to pick them up. They started loading their gear into the plane, including the six elk. But the pilot objected he said, “The plane can take out only four of your elk. You will have to leave two behind.” One of the hunters pushed forward, “Hey, last year our pilot let us take out six elk. It was the same model plane, same weather conditions, and everything. What’s with this? We want you to allow us to fly out just like last year. Reluctantly the pilot finally permitted them to put all six elk aboard and the men all climbed in with their gear. But when they attempted to take off and fly out of the valley, the little plane could not make it. They crashed in the wilderness. Climbing out of the wreckage, one Redneck said to the other, “Do you know where we are?” “I think so,” replied the other Redneck. “Yep! I think this is about 100 yards further along than where we crashed last year.

Lost Hunting
My uncle Joe and his best buddy, Bubba, went hunting a couple of weeks ago. Somehow they got lost. Uncle Joe reassured his buddy, though. "Don't worry. All we have to do is shoot into the air three times, stay where we are, and someone will find us."
They shot in the air three times, but no one came. After a while, they tried it again. Still no response. When they decided to try once more, Bubba said, "It better work this time. We're down to our last three arrows."

Deer Hunting
A group of friends went deer hunting and paired off in twos for the day.
That night, one of the hunters returned alone, staggering under the weight of an eight-point buck.

"Where's Henry?"
"Henry had a nasty fall and broke both of his legs. He's a couple of miles back up the trail."
"You left Henry laying out there and carried the deer back!?!"
"A tough call," nodded the hunter, "but I figured no one is going to steal Henry!"

Two hunters were driving through the country to go bear hunting. They came upon a fork in the road where a sign read "BEAR LEFT" so they went home.

There were these two guys out hiking when they came upon an old, abandoned mine shaft. Curious about its depth they threw in a pebble and waited for the sound of it striking the bottom, but they heard nothing. They went and got a bigger rock, threw it in and waited. Still nothing. They searched the area for something larger and came upon a railroad tie. With great difficulty, the two men carried it to the opening and threw it in. While waiting for it to hit bottom, a goat suddenly darted between them and leapt into the hole! The guys were still standing there with astonished looks upon their faces from the actions of the goat when a man walked up to them. He asked them if they had seen a goat anywhere in the area and they said that one had just jumped into the mine shaft in front of them! The man replied, "Oh no. That couldn't be my goat, mine was tied to a railroad tie."

Jim had an awful day fishing on the lake, sitting in the blazing sun all day without catching a single one. On his way home, he stopped at the supermarket and ordered four catfish. He told the fish salesman, "Pick four large ones out and throw them at me, will you?" "Why do you want me to throw them at you?" "Because I want to tell my wife that I caught them." "Okay, but I suggest that you take the orange roughy." "But why?" "Because your wife came in earlier today and said that if you came by, I should tell you to take orange roughy. She prefers that for supper tonight."

I know that when your heart is not out hunting a gi-normas elk it is at home with me and the kids! This year is gonna rock! (After-all, your'e only 38 once!)

Have You Checked Out Today's Headlines?

The Daily Whatever Washington Woman's Uterus Gets a Break!

For years, Washington resident, Terra Jacobs, has been producing children with husband, Jon. "We have had 4 children in 8 years" says Jacobs. "But those were the only children that I was related to."

Recently though, Jacobs is now related to two newborn babies within the last few weeks. "I thought it would never happen" Jacobs expressed. "I never thought I could be related to children that I didn't personally have to give birth to."

When asked who the two new babies belonged to she replied,"My sister in law and my cousin" (Whose new addition could be checked out at http://www.teamfein.blogspot.com/)

Jacobs is hoping that more relatives will jump on the bandwagon. "I am just praying that these two miracles will be joined by others."

When asked if Jacobs was planning on personally having anymore children she said, "I think that I have done my part in contributing children for our families to get to know and love. I also think that the cost of future therapy for four is about all we can afford."

Really- I guess I don't ave anything better to do with my time!

Buzz Buzz...Splat!

We are BUSY-BEES! Why is it that when the kids were toddlers, I would do ANYTHING to pass the day along. I couldn't give them enough to do. And I just couldn't wait till Jonny got home to take over entertaining them. Now- even thought the kids are in school all day we are soooo busy in the evenings. And it isn't even like we have tons of extra activities that we have purposely busied ourselves with.
But I do find it important that they have some activities that they learn to do.
We currently are in:
Piano (Both Kids and Bridge will start next yr.)
Sylvan (for Nolan twice a week)
Basketball (Carli- twice a week plus Sat. games)
Scouts (Nolan)

Not to mention that Bridger goes to Preschool and needs to be dropped off and picked up. And in May, Carli will start Achievement Days in Church. I can remember all of my friends with older kids who said that they couldn't squeeze the smallest thing in their week cuz it would be an overload for them. And I totally couldn't relate. But I am starting to feel that way now. Wednesdays are the worst.
I now get to add Taxi Driver to my very long list of "Mommy Jobs"
Sorry if I am complaining. But you will never hear me complaining about being bored though!

Book Recommendation!

Okay- So I wasn't gonna post too many more book recommendations because I now have my book list on Goodsreads, but my camera is having probs- so until I have time to look at it- You get to read about the books that I have already read.-(You know you wanted to!)

Gone Series- They say it is gonna be the next Harry Potter/Twilight series. (There are supposed to be 6 books in the series) I bought my copy at Target and I got the last one on the shelf. Get yours before its... well....GONE!

What's it about, you ask?

In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. GONE.
Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not one single adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.
Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else...

(Book 2 is gonna come out in May/June 2009)

While on the subject of books- I picked up this little one because I loved the Tiffany-blue cover and the romantic winter scene on the front. But I like the cover more than the book- it was cute but- eh!
