Christmas Day!

Thanks to everyone for all the gifts and love that you have sent to us this year! It had a great Christmas Day! And now- the best is to come- we are gonna sit back for 3 days and while the kids keep occupied with their new toys! Tis the Season to be Jolly!!!

This is what we got Amy and Nathan for Christmas (I told her I would post it on this blogspot)

I haven't sent it yet - I will wait until they are back home.

The kids were soooooooooo excited this morning. They opened our stockings up too and then were nice enough to tell us what Santa brought us.

Jack wanted to know what all the fuss was about! The kids kept putting his gifts on his tray and he got mad cuz he could only eat one up at a time!

(in ears) put back in and to get her adenoids removed!

She had a hard time waking up from it

(She was pretty grouchy and unreasonable)

but she is herself today!!!

Nolan had a piano recital

(Carli did too- but missed it due to her surgery)

He played ,"Up on the Housetop!"

Holiday Popcorn- Yum!

My Mom- in- Law gave me this recipe for popcorn and I decided to make it my treat for everyone this year. It is Super Yum cuz it is dry and crunchy, not soft and sticky!Holiday Popcorn
3 cups popped popcorn
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup kayro syrup
½ cup butter
½ tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
½ teaspoon baking soda

*In a saucepan, stir brown sugar, kayro syrup, butter and salt. Bring to a boil for 5 mins, stir constantly. Take off heat and add vanilla and baking soda (almond extract can be used instead of vanilla). Line a baking sheet with foil. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. (Stirring popcorn a couple of times the last 30 mins). I found this cute tin at the $ store and made this one up for Bridger's preschool teacher.

Today's blog is really a mess of things that I had posted to my fridge. I was looking at the fridge last night and realized that I had way to much stuff posted to it. That quote was on there and so was Nolan's artwork...

I Thought that this was an awesome picture. Nolan had a learn to draw book to help him, but what impressed me, was that he put a lot of time into the whole thing!

Nolan always tells me that since I hate flies, I would probably like a house spider that eats flies. As much as I dislike flies, I will take them anyday over spiders- yuck! But, I thought this one was awesome!

I'm Such a Nerd!!!

Okay- You know that you are a big-o Nerd when you choose to post Counter Spray on your blog and hope you get some for Christmas! I had heard about this line of products at Target, called Method, and picked some up because I heard that they smelled AWESOME! (And lets face it- I can always use something to mask the dirty- diaper smell!) When I got there, I saw that everything was around $3 for a 12 oz. bottle. I took a chance, regardless of the high price, and now I have a

~New Love!!!~

I just thought that it was gonna smell nice- I wasn't expecting to actually like the Product itself! It DOESN"T Streak- I couldn't believe it! They have dish soap and all other kinds of cleaning products! I got the Cinnamon Bark scent- part of the Christmas Line!!! (But I heard that the Holly Berry- is wonderful too!) Now- I actually look forward to cleaning my counters!!!!

In other News...

My Baby- Girl, Carli, has been under the weather for about a week now! It was last Tuesday when she threw-up at shcool and has had a fever ever since. Jon and I felt her forehead this morning and she seems to be better- I won't give her any tylenol today and see if her fever is gone. It broke my heart last night when I was making cookies and asked her if she wanted to lick the beaters- she said,"No- I want to go lay on the couch." - Not what an active child usually says.

Pretty Paper

I found this paper at Craft Warehouse and fell in love with it. I have been using it for everything lately! I want to modge- podge it to everything in my house, but the snowflakes are a dead give-a-way that it is Christmas paper! Don't be surprized to find this on your Christmas cards this year....and the next year....and the next year....and the next....

Jack- Jack....Cloned?

Bridger found one of Carli's favorite babies and has been carrying it around lately. When I asked Bridger its name, of course, it was 'Jack.' I have to stop sometimes when he says he is gonna get 'Baby Jack'- (he means his Baby Jack!)

A Card Holder, Finally

For years, I have enjoyed making and sending Christmas cards just as much as I like getting them. However, I have never had a place to put them before. I tried displaying them, but usually they get knocked down, and then Bridger will get ahold of them and they disappear. I was walking through target today and saw a card holder that was made of twine and clothespins (and had the word 'snowflake" on it in wooden letters with wooden snowflake on it). It was $10. I thought that was a little high, so I made my own. It turned out cute and have it just in time before all my little treasures (cards from family and friends) start arriving.

We discovered this one day when she told me that Jack-Jack is making his eyes do this. I also chose to post this picture today- because I thought that it told how I feel things are going lately- CRAZY!!!

Projects, Projects

Sometimes I almost prefer projects to little crafts. My mother in law saved these old windows for me. I have a bunch left, but have already used 2. I am so excited to have them up- they look awesome and add character to our house. When you come to visit us, you can have this room to yourself!!!

I was so excited to decorate our spare bedroom in my favortie colors. (Blue and Brown) The mirrored window just adds to the vintage character. (Let me know if you have any ideas of how to make an inexpensive headboard!)

The window was free- the container was bought at goodwill for $1.50 and I found a sweet deal on the flowers. ($1 each strand) so this project was done for under $10 and now I have great wall art!
